Survey-based Research Initiatives

knowledge_center_thumb_2015In conjunction with Strategic Gold Partners, CoreNet Global conducts a series of survey-based research initiatives. The research topics cover a wide-range of issues and trends facing today's corporate real estate professionals, such as workplace, change management, partnering with shared services, and location strategy. Conducting these Surveys allows CoreNet Global to create a body of corporate real estate research, allowing members to stay at the forefront of ongoing trends. Research findings are posted on the Knowledge Center, CoreNet Global's web-based knowledge repository.

Why should I take these surveys?

  • Survey takers, who share their information with us, are invited to exclusive webinars where subject matter experts present the Survey findings. Attendees get a first look at the results and have the opportunity to interact with the presenters during the Q&A sessions.
  • We respect your privacy, and as such, all survey responses are presented in aggregate form, and never tied to any individual or company.  Any contact information you share is kept private, and only used to share results.

Organizations will be demanding more from Facility Management as they come to realize the strategic value of work, workforce and workplace in enabling organizational transformation.

January 2016 - CoreNet Global and Sodexo Manufacturing Industry Survey Report
Across the globe, the manufacturing industry is vital for economic prosperity, contributing to exports, offering much needed employment and ultimately increasing the standard of living. It is an essential source of innovation and a driver of global competitiveness, fostering research & development and economic growth. In the United States, every dollar spent in manufacturing adds $1.37 to the national economy, and for every 100 jobs created in a manufacturing facility, an additional 250 jobs are created in other sectors. In 2012, manufacturing accounted for approximately 16% of global GDP and 14% of employment, and its importance continues to grow. Despite this favorable outlook, manufacturers will face significant challenges in the coming years. This survey seeks to understand some of the key priorities for manufacturers as well as their strategies for growth, specifically with respect to capabilities, physical resources and human capital.

January 2016 - 2015 CoreNet Global End User Compensation Survey Report
As a service to its Corporate Occupiers (End User members), CoreNet Global is pleased to present the 2015 CoreNet Global End User Compensation Survey. Sponsored by CoreNet Global and conducted by FPL Associates L.P., this survey is designed to provide internal corporate real estate (CRE) organization professionals with competitive compensation levels and current information regarding the design, features, and administration of compensation programs. In particular, this report provides information for three major facets of compensation: base salary (2015), annual incentive (cash bonus) award value (for calendar/fiscal year 2014), and long-term incentive award value (for calendar/fiscal year 2014) for 15 positions commonly found in internal CRE organizations. This year’s survey received responses from 172 End User members, representing 155 organizations. We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants for providing valuable information.

May 2015 - CoreNet Global and Sodexo "Innovation and CRE" Survey Webinar
An innovation is defined as a good, service, production process, distribution method, or supporting activity that is new or significantly improved and implemented by a company to create added value for it or its customers. To comprehensively assess the extent of innovation, this survey asked respondents to share information on various aspects of innovation, such as the novelty of their company’s innovations; the speed at which their company implements new or adopts existing innovations; and their company’s consistency and continuity in innovating over time. Finally, the survey asked whether about their company’s strategy and capabilities to innovate and about the company’s culture of innovation.
